Talked to Kristina last night, she makes everything feel better. I'm going to miss her when she's at band camp, ha ha. I already have a letter written so I can send it and she'll get it the first day they get mail. Yay! We have so much in common it's really weird, anyway she's a great friend and I'm soooo glad that we have geometry together.

Anyway, the Honors English book that I have to read Things Fall Apart is (in my opinion) a bullshit novel that we should not be forced to read because of the fact that they are not allowed to preach about religion to us. This book starts off with an African tribe of what would now be considered Polygamists. It talks about the hardships one asshole man has to face just like every other book except this one they're in huts and obis. Basically, he beats his wives, almost shoots one, is mentally and sometimes physically abusive to his children and this is all out of resentment for his father because he was kind and died broke making him work a little harder, boo fuckin' hoo. Later on, after the man is banished for seven years from his clan due to an accidental killing during a funeral, the white men come and try to preach Christianity. Oh wow because we haven't heard this story five fuckin' million times! I haven't finished the novel yet because it's so painful to read, but I'm hoping they all get killed ecept for his most beautiful wife and daughter by a huge plague.
